    soaking?
I have a 20"-22" ball and he seems to be in his water bowl most of the day. I have checked for mites and did not see any. The temps are (hot)90-92.3 and (cold) 75-80. I have talked to a few different people and some say that he can be hibernating. Others just say watch him to make sure that he maintains a healthy weight. Does any one have any suggestions? Thanks for your time.

What's his humidity? How long have you had him and how long has he been doing this?

I once had a ball python that would loved being in her water bowl. Temps and humidity were fine and she never had a bad shed nor did she ever had any mites. She just liked the water. She loved when I put her in the bath tub. Some can be a bit unusual

Keep an eye on his belly - it's possible for them to develop water blisters from too much soaking. Make sure you change the water frequently to avoid any bacterial buildup that can lead to scale rot, also. Aside from that, just make sure he has hot and cool side hides (they sometimes use the water bowl if there isn't a hide option on that side), weight stays steady, and your husbandry is correct, and you shouldn't have to worry.

PS: BPs don't hibernate, so I would be very careful about any advice those specific people give you in the future.
