    Is it Normal?
    For my BCC Keeps opening his mouth. I fed him Saturday morning and today i decided to hold him and now he opens his mouth constatly. Idk seems like his not gona strike but i just want to know about it.

    can you give us some more details? is he making any popping or wheezing noises when he breaths? how long will he keep his mouth open and how wide? what else is he doing while his mouth is open?

    yes i can hear the wheezing an popping but its like very low you could hardly hear it but he dont do it all the time. he will keep his mouth open like 3 secs seems like his yawning.

    that sounds to me like a possible respiratory infection (RI), i would take him to a vet asap to get checked out, and you should also read through this post:

    x2. Vet asap. If caught early, RIs aren't too bad - just a hassel to get rid of. But if left untreated they can be dangerous. Keep us posted!

    Does he do it constantly? Or, only when you hold him, or are in his tank? There is a difference between wheezing/popping, and defensive hissing.
