    Quick Q about flexwatt
    I see a lot of videos saying you shouldn't cut through the black backing of the heat tape.. I was wondering why that's not good? Is it okay to cut through it, then slap some heat tape over the exposed black part? thanks

    You can cut parallel to the black, or straight across, and across the black.

    It won't affect the performance of the heat tape, it just won't heat up on that single segment.
