I was having a Harry Potter marathon with a couple friends the other day and Zola was nosing around the glass the whole time, I'm talking hours. It started to worry me because it is so uncharacteristic of her. But I am sure it was the vibrations from the TV. Poor thing probably thought is was a herd of elephants. :O
And yes, I talk to her all the time. :D

Soon as I go out where Alice is, he's out of his hide, periscoping and gawping around and making a general nuisance of himself.
I suspect his "conversation" would be more along the lines of "Hey you! Leg Thing! Lemme out! There's been a terrible mix up! Somebody has mistaken me for a snake! I'm not..no, really....I'm supposed to be a dog!. Help!"
It works almost every time.
If I don't take him out, he gives up, goes back in his hide and flops his head down on his stone "pillow", emits a huge, over-done "sigh" of dejection and just stares at me, accusingly until I leave the room.
It's so melodramatic. :D
