It depends on how the eggs were laid and how big the eggs are. If they were not bunched up into a big group you can fit around 6 in a 6qt. If they were pulled together for the female to coil around, then you'll fit about a 4 egg group in one of those. I actually tried using them one year. I think I only had 1 small clutch that fit in them. And 1 clutch the female didnt bunch up. So I then went to circular food storage containers.
