Incubator

Hey guys, I have asked this question once before but that was a few months ago and I'm getting ready to buy so I figured I'd ask again. I am wanting to get a good incubator and I just don't have time to build my own due to work and kids so what do you guys recommend? I'm only going to have 1 clutch this season but I would like to buy one that will hold quite a few more than that for in the future. Thanks in advance for any and all advice :D

I bought one from LLL reptile I believe. It looks like a mini fridge. A lot of places sell them. It has heating and cooling so I set mine at 93 and it stayed at a steady 89 the entire time but u have to use and egg tub that is sealed so ur humidity won't drop

It's sooo much cheaper to build one. I use a wine cooler. Put a simple little computer fan at the bottom, a heat mat on the side, and a proportional thermostat. Oh, and a small dish of water to keep humidity up. The porportional thermostat is key though. Lesser thermostats flucuate in temperature too greatly and make your incubation time incredibly hard to figure out. 89 degrees is perfect. Should make your clutch incubate for about 52 days. Somewhere in there. I think you'll be happier building one in the long run. As for a cheap route, I have heard decent things about the "Hovebator".

I agree. You'll spend more money for a smaller one now, only to upgrade in a couple years when you need more space. It took me longer to clean out the old full sized freezer than it did to assemble it. It probably too me 45 at the most to put it all together. It worked great this first season for 4 clutches. The temp held 89 the entire time +/- less than 1 degree. All the eggs hatched by day 52. It has the capacity to fit up to about 20 clutches. It really doesn't take much time.
