High White Russian Blue babies
Lately I've had to cut down on the number of rats in my breeding project. One of the two pairs I've decided to keep are two high white Russian Blues who just recently gave me a litter.

American blues are a much lighter blue and are not compatible with Russian blues.

And since some of my rats have both russian blue and american blue I can get both in the same litter :P

Adorable rats! I love the high white blues. :)
While Russian Blues aren't compatible with American Blues, you can cross the lines and end up with something called Russian Silvers. They carry both the American Blue and Russian Blue genetics. They usually end up lighter than even American Blues, but can end up looking a lot like Russian Blues.
