    Pastel ate! (plus tub update)
Two weeks since I got my pastel, fourth attempt feeding. I was offering food on my females five day schedule and I offered on the first night which is why it's the fourth. Yes probably too frequent and he was in the last part of shed without me knowing for the first two. So glad he finally ate. Also colors much brighter than I thought. I just switched them to tubs Thursday, it seems that the trick is to make it almost completely dark so the rat can't see and he's not intimidated. If you have one that is intimidated by larger rats, try this it may work for you. Tub set-up is modeled after an experienced member who had pictures. Hot side is 85 and cool side is 78 which I don't get because my rheostat is all the way up. Weight update: my female was 288g on 11/07 and underweight for a 2010. She's now 560g full tonight, was 485g empty. Will be feeding 20% every five days until I feel that she's a healthy weight for her lenghth. Sorry for long post I'm on a cell phone and will only be on every few days until January.
