    Eye caps.
My BP just shed it came off in bits and pieces so I followed the ' Bad Shed No Problem' instructions (what a lifesaver) and it all came off after about a 45 minute soak with a wet cloth. The only problem is I looked in the tank, through the moss and in the wter after for the eyecaps in her shed and couldnt find them...How do you tell if they have come off?

If her eyes are still clouded over they are still there if they came off her eyes would be clear and you would be able to see the pupils or color like usual.

Thanks...Just took a good look and her eyes look clear. All her body shed came off but she still has some dull looking scales on her head. Should I try soaking her again in 24 hours?

sometimes its hard to find the eye caps in the shed, especially if its in pieces. As long as the eyes are clear your good :gj:

I've heard that soaking can actually do more harm than good if you want a clean shed. The water saps their skin of the oils necessary to get it off in one piece.

I find that just misting the tank when they're shedding is sufficient. The scales left over from her previous shed aren't going to harm her. I'd just leave her alone to minimize stress. She'll be back to normal after her next shed. :D

Just to add on... I mist the tank too but i also try to once a day move her and mist her hide really really really well.

That's if they don't mind being moved... mines mood doesn't seem to change during shed :X
