    15Qt to 41Qt jump?
Hey im building two rack systems, one being a 41Qt which is already complete, the other is going to be for juvies and all. My question is, would it be to much to go from a 15qt to a 41qt skipping the 28/32qt? (I already intend on keeping both males and females in 41qts) thanks for the input! :D

EDIT: Ive tried searching and all, and ive found nothing to really answer my question

I did pretty much the same jump and had no problems. Just make sure they have hides.

I think it's fine, what I would do is throw some objects in the 41qt though. add some paper towel rolls, drift wood, etc. Over time take them out. Just so that its not such a drastic transfer for them. Hopefully someone with more experience can comment, I am in a similar boat and would love to hear some ideas as well.

If your using hides than it will be no problem at all. Hides are not necessarily needed when your using bins. However if your ball pythons are used to using hides than you should always provide them. Only two of my guys have hides and the rest don't. They do just fine. My OG has hides because he always had them and wont eat unless he does, and my female pastel is a picky eater, I find the hides help invoke a better feeding response from her.

    Cheers.

That was basically my intention, I just wanted some "positive reinforment" on the idea :P

I dont have a ton of money, so im trying to avoid a third rack and heating and a thermostat and all. I know some people do 15/28-32 combo racks but I was concerned about getting proper heat to all of them.

I agree, I am currently building a hatchling rack. I have ordered a 41 qt rack and I have my 28 qt rack. I have no plans on having anything else. As long as you provide adequate hiding places/ "decor" its fine. My buddy is a well known reputable breeder (wont say which one), and he uses nothing but those three sizes. He doesn't use hides or decor/ object either and his snakes are fine. Just a thought. :)

    That makes sense, and a 28qt is 23.12"L x 16.9"W x 6.38"H, a 34qt is 26.38"L x 16"W x 6.5"H. and a 41qt is 34.75''L x 16.5''W x 6''H so at most its 12" longer, but hardly any wider, so its not like a huuuuuuge difference between the 28/34 and 41
