Still new and learning. Ive noticed that female bps are more expensive than males. Can anyone tell me why?

For breeding purposes. That one, even normal Female, once up to size, could hatch out a clutch worth thousands of dollars.

So its that reason only? It doesnt make a difference in what you actually get in the clutch?

Well I'm not an expert so anyone who knows more feel free to correct me. But im pretty sure females cost more because theyre the ones producing the eggs. You can breed 1 male to 5 females but not vice versa. This means breeders would value females more because they only need a couple males.

What the female is doesn't make a difference in what you get out of the clutch. Example: Female Pastel to Male Spider and Female Spider to Male Pastel have the same odds per egg of producing a normal/pastel/spider/bee.

Females are generally more expensive because they lay the eggs. Males will also breed more than one female per season and father multiple clutches, were as a female will only produce one clutch of eggs per season.

    Economics:

Demand within the breeding community is 1 male to 2-5 females. Nature hatches 50/50. People need to pawn off the males to people who want pets and don't care about the sex and more so about the price.
