    Kenyan sand boa question?
Does anyone use paper towels or news paper for Kenyan's? I have been using aspen but i really don't like it... any thoughts would be awesome :D

Shredded news paper might work, but I haven't tried it with my Kenyans.
They need something to bury in and feel secure.

I think your best with the aspen. Like stated they need to burrow. Newspaper is probably to light to give them the feeling of substrate on top of them.

Sand is usually discouraged. There is only one type of sand boa that does well on sand. The name slips my mind (it's early for me o.o)
Besides I bet it would be 100000 times more annoying the aspen.

i just got a sand boa day before yesterday. i put him on calcium sand...supposedly OKay for them if it gets ingested.
So far, it does seem to kind of get everywhere, it seems dusty, and he pee'd, and I can't find it, because it doesn't clump. It STINKS. this stuff absorbs no odor at all...i'm already going to have to change out the whole thing in a little bit here.

Instead of Aspen, if you don't like it, try Sani-Chips. That is what we having been using for about 5 years now, and it works great.
