Dubia colony not breeding?

I have a heat pad for them and about 25 adults. Mostly females.
I'm just curious why I'm not seeing any prego females? They're in a 10 gallon on a mixture of high protein/ fat kitten food and I sprinkle some fish food in there too.
I've only had them for two months or so. Am I just being impatient?

I don't breed dubia but I have a huge colony of discoids and assume care isn't much different. I started with 40 mixed nymphs so it was many months before I started seeing an increase in number. Here are some tricks that might help you in addition to patience. :D

1) Cover the sides of the tank if you haven't already or at least put it in a dark/private area. Roaches are shy and you won't get much breeding if they're always scurrying about trying to find better hiding places.

2) Keep fresh citrus in there. When I need to increase roach production I'll get a bag of oranges, cut them in half and just place the 2 halves(cut side facing up) in with my colony. For whatever reason citrus really seems to put roaches in the breeding mood. I'd just do 1 orange at a time and if it starts to mold before they finish it, trash what's left.

X2- especially on the oranges... I didn't believe it at first, but then i tried it and I got a baby boom (hehe :p) and make sure theres definitely no mold cuz that will kill off a colony wiked quick

It takes a while to really notice any "results" because they give live birth. Do you have part of the lid covered with plastic? They like the higher humidity and it helps hold some heat in too which seems to help as well. I blacked out the front and two sides of my dubia aquarium since they aren't big on light. Try feeding them some oranges or other citrus fruit (really gets them in breeding mode). Patience/time and just letting them do their thing and you'll have a bunch of baby dubia in no time. :D

I have the sides covered with black paper and I have two pieces covering the top also. They're in total blackness. Should I spray in there maybe once a week to help with humidity?

I don't mist mine at all for fear of mold. Try some fresh fruits and vegetables, they can eat almost anything.

Dark enclosure....oranges.......lots of heat(I keep mine at about 90)......((shhhhhh, don't tell anyone.........that's the secret))......

I second the heat. We had our colony go through a drought and I bumped temps and now we have more babies than we can feed off!

I keep mine on heat tape in one of my racks...

definately the citrus....but it takes a while for it to get going...
