    good or bad deal?
Someone is offering 2 balls 1 jungle and hes not sure about the other one with 30 gal complete set up for $200. They are about 2.5 feet. 900 grams. Would you take this deal or is that over priced?

Where are you getting this "deal"?

As a buyer, you need to find sellers who are well educated about their animals. I never buy anything if I have doubts in my mind about the seller or if they cant provide enough information to satisfy me. I havent heard a ball python called a "jungle" in a long, long time, but Im guessing its a pastel jungle, which means its just a pastel.

For $200 you are getting an ok deal, not a crazy once-in-a-lifetime deal though. Personally I would pass. That 30 gal tank seems like it would be a nightmare to get perfect husbandry in, and is he only providing one tank for both snakes? If that is the case, I would definitely pass.

If you are looking to buy a ball python, there are numerous reputable places online to find deals, such as Fauna Classifieds (if you live in the states) and Reptiles Canada (if you live in canada).

I would pass you can find adult breeder pastel males for about $100. And the other is probably just a normal which you can find from 20 to 50. And if you are planning on building a collection of bps then stay away from tanks. Go for a rack with tubs. Much easier to maintain the heat and humidity. I started out with tanks and cages. I now use all the tanks for overflow rats. Which I'm about to build a rack for them as well and get rid of the tanks.

    Hi,

There is also "jungle pattern" - but I don't think it has ever proven reproduceable?

Get a picture of the snakes if you can but unless you have a pressing need for two normal males keep your wits about you. :gj:

Is it a "jungle" ball python or a Jungle Carpet python? That could change things a bit...

If he has a good reputation and If its 100% het then its a good deal. But make sure you get papers and ask to see the parents. If he didn't breed it then I wouldn't waste my money. Cause there is no way to tell a het apart from a normal until you breed it out.

He is going to send pics of the parents and he has papers for them. He said that he had a visual male clown from same clutch that he is keeping.

    Hi,

Sounds good so far. Have you checked his name out on fauna's BOI?
