Any Nikon D70 users out there??? Desperatly need help!
Ok so I just purchased a Nikon D70 Digital camera from someone. Now I have taken hundreds of pictures with the camera but cannot load them on to my computer. The guy didnt give me any software with the camera so I downloaded ViewNX2 from Nikon.

When I plug the usb into the computer it says "USB Devise Not recognized" I cannot for the life of me figure this out. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried a different usb cable? If so, have you tried it on a different PC?. The camera may also be broken.

just use a card reader it is faster and saves batteries. The camera should be recognized if the drivers are up to date and have no conflicts card readers use (usually) USB mass media storage driver.

You might have to uninstall all drivers (not just the program), install the program first, then plug the camera in. If all else fails, call Nikon Tech support. Good luck!

Oh am I ever silly is the camera set to PTP or mass storage? in the USB menu under the wrench menu? If so set it to mass, PTP is for controlling the camera with the computer not transferring images.
