Stimson's Breeding/Size Question
I have a pair of Stimson's Pythons, and I'm having trouble finding out specific breeding information for them (most materials on Antaresia only cover Children's or Anthill Pythons). The male is probably 4-5 years old and pretty chunky at ~600g, while the female is right around 3 years old but still only weighs 254g. So what is the minimum breeding weight for girls?
She's a good feeder, only refusing her f/t mice while in shed, but she can't seem to take anything larger than a hopper/weanling... I've offered small adults, and she'll bite on them for a minute before slithering away and leaving it. Should I keep trying to up the prey size, or just regularly offer 2 hoppers instead? And will she be ready to breed later this season? I'm anxious to make babies with these two, especially considering how gorgeous Veruca is!!

She's at the bare minimum - 250 grams is the "accepted" lower end cut-off.
I'd wait another season.

Thanks, Skip... that's what I was thinking, since she looks SO small at this time. Guess patience is a virtue in this hobby, huh?
James is doing great, btw, and still pretty much a fattie! He only went on a brief fast this season, and has otherwise been scarfing down both f/t & live mice... and I definitely think he's ready for some lovin', LOL.

I told you he was genetically challenged in that regard.:)
