Germany: Friendly to Exotics or Not?
I am considering moving from the US to Germany. I am curious what the situation is out there regarding if they are friendly to exotics or not.

I am from the dart frog hobby and we have a lot of fellow hobbyists in Germany. They "obtain" highly sought after frogs and keep them in some AMAZING displays.

I would say they are pretty exotics friendly.

    Ever been to Germany?

When I went, the people I stayed with weren't into animals, but I am sure there are plenty that are. Same as here.
I wish I was into darts when I went. I would have loved to see some of the frogs we can't get here.

That's good to hear. I should have specified that I have snakes, non-venomous. A ball python, a northern pine snake, and a small boa.

I have not been there, the closest I've been is to the Netherlands for a week and I really enjoyed it.

I don't know the laws for importing animals, but I know some of the distributors ship worldwide.

I don't think you will have any problem.

The family I stayed with didn't have central AC. Didn't really get too hot, but something to consider when looking for an apartment.

It's really pretty. Most everyone speaks English to some degree, you just have to get them drunk enough to not care about grammatical errors. German is really easy (in my opinion) to learn too.

I've been talking to some morelia people lately and have heard quite a bit about certain "german" strains. I reckon they have snake folk just like us.
