why is it there arnt many caramel glows?
I was just wondering why you dont see many caramel glows for sale. A double recessive going for around $3500. That tells me there are some out there, but why dont you see many? Is it a lack of interest or.....

Caramel glows are absolutely gorgeous, and properly outbred animals are unlikely to kink. With double hets, you only have a 1/16 chance per egg of hitting the glow. The few breeders I've met who have produced them are loathe to let such an accomplishment (luck!) go for any price.

With snows once you have a pair you can breed them together and get 100% snow clutches. Looks like about the best you could with caramel glows is caramel glow male to hypo het caramel female for 50% chance caramel glows and maybe half of those would be kinked so only 25% clutch sellable. Still not keeping me from trying but maybe an explanation of why there aren't more of them for sale.

i have 8 caramels in the last 2 years and no kinking yet i am going for a caramel glow this year or next
