Need help asap rescued boa please read
Not even sure what it is its about 4 feet long looks like a red tail boa but where the tail should be red its black,... it has been in an abandoned building without heat or food for 1+ month its winter in cleveland so night time could be 30 degrees... Tried feeding it live mice and pre killed, wouldn't touch either I think its too weak... it moves around but it sometimes looks like a spider with moderate to severe wobble I just started getting into BPs but know nothing about boas and am still fairly new to snakes in general any help is appreciated sorry if Im posting in an improper section but I'm using a friends computer and am limited on time to collect answers.

I hope you have it quarantined if it is wobbeling. It could be the cold making it wobble or a whole mess of other things. It is not going to eat if it has been that cold, for a while anyway. Boas are pretty resistant to resperatory infections, is it bubbling or wheezing?

Quarantine!!! Warm him slowly and be patient. A trip to the vet is in order.
Pics would be good for identification. A BCI does not have a dramatically red tail so the darker tail could be totally normal. Take him to the vet and if all's ok, let him settle in awhile then let us see him!

I'd even increase the quarantine time on this one. Good Luck.
Ive heard boas can go almost a year before displaying symptoms of virus/disease, is this true?

I really don't know about boas. The situation I was involved with was one of those nightmare "Can you just come by and clean the poop and change the water" scenarios. Maybe someone else can help with that answer, sorry.
