Light hood; do I have to get the 48" ?
Been awhile since I've posted here. As usual, I did search for this question before posting this, but I always have trouble finding what I need.

Anyway, I have a shiny new 55 gallon (13x48") tank, and I'm working on getting new supplies for it. Specifically a light hood, which I've never used before. There's 30" and 48" hoods, but there's a good $25-30 difference between those sizes. If I have a 48" tank, can I downsize the hood to the 30"?

Thanks for any help on this!

Unless it is for your viewing pleasure you dont need the lights.....balls dont care light or dark. That being said I would not have one, but if you want one its up to you

If its for viewing pleasure just get a clip desk lamp from wally world. They are like $8 and don't look half bad.
