Quick question about winter feeding

Hey guys, I've got about a 5 year old male who last year quit eating for 7 months during the winter. Summertime, he's a voracious eater but wouldn't touch anything during the winter.

I know this is kind of normal, but this winter we tried feeding him about 2 months ago and he wouldnt eat. So my wife and I just decided to quit feeding until spring time. Is this safe or should we keep trying? He doesn't seem to be losing weight at all, not lethargic, he stays at the 70-75 degree side of his tank often as well (looking for a mate?). His hide stays right at 91 degrees.

Let me know what you think, I really don't think he'll eat until springtime though.. :confused:

I currently have a male normal that is off feed. It has been 41 days. I only offer food every ten days and if he doesn't eat, I offer the prey item to my female that is a garbage disposal. I don't expect my male to go back on feed any time soon either.

Yea, I guess I'll offer food right before we leave for xmas vacation for 2 weeks. He's still vibrant, active, curious, healthy looking..

I'm just not sure if I should automatically quit feeding during the winter time.

My 7 year old normal male went off feed for about a month now. I always feed frozen thawed, but discovered that during winter months, he will only eat live. I hope he goes back to frozen thawed for me in the spring, but for now, at least he is eating.
