I knew T's were cool, but...
Not THIS cool! If you read my other thread, I said I was hesitant about feeding due to my new B. smithi sealing off her hid entrance. This morning, she had opened it up a bit so I offered a cricket. Cricket went in, didn't see it come out, and I couldn't see in with a flashlight. I decided to take the tank out of the plastic shoe-holder I keep it in, flip it around, and viola...

I thought she was getting ready to molt, but I guess she was just renovating! i haven't seen her in a few days so I was excited. The burrow is 8" long and over 3" below the top of the substrate, all the way down to the glass bottom. Thanks for looking!

Thank you for looking and for the replies!
@Lgray23- Thanks! I bet you get to see some cool stuff too with your collection!
@boanerges- this is something I am already concerned about. I guess it will put my substrate-tamping skills to the test. Have you ever had a tunnel collapse on you? Do you give it a day and see if they get out before excavating? Hopefully I won't have to find out!
@Ezekiel285- They definitely are! I also got to witness her webbing up her cricket...looked like her walking all over it with her spinneretes going crazy!
I also got to handle my first adult T tonight, a female B. smithi at my local petshop/ second home. Very cool!

It has happened to me before. Nothing bad. But if I personally see it I dig them out as soon as I do or I dig a new entrance/exit to get in/out of if it partially collapsed. They dug themselves in there so they are able to dig themselves out but I see no reason not to help them out if I can.
