    Help!
I live in Southern California and I have a small collection of ball pythons 13 to be exact well last night we had some serious wind storms come through and it knocked my power out so I cant heat there tubs and I cant heat the room. My room is around 69-67 degrees right now my question is will my snakes be ok at this tempature?

That is pretty cold for them. I hope you get your power on soon. I don't have a definitive answer for you but there's not much you can do. people try bagging them in pillow cases and putting a few of your favorites next to your body to keep them warm.. but you can't do that all day. Maybe find some of those hand warmers and throw them in the rack, just don't put them in the bins, they get way too hot and will cause burns.

    Good luck,

    Keep us updated.

    Don
I read about those wind storms this morning. Sounded pretty scary.

I have a back up generator for my snake room. In addition, I keep a case of heat packs around for double emergency backups. I know it doesn't help you now, but you might want to invest in a case of 40 hour heat packs. With 13 snakes, that would help keep some heat in the enclosures over a couple of days. A case has 240 heat packs.

Once you get power back, then keep a close eye on them for RI's.

I actually got my power on probably 4 hours after I posted this so they weren't cold to long the lowest the temps got in the room was 64 I know thats really cold but hopefully none of them get RI but yeah your right heat packs would be a good idea to get I actually thought about that last night and went to go drive to see if I could find some but I couldn't thankfully the power came back on.
