    buying and selling bps...
I am researching my next BP and I would like to get a pied. Where is the best place to buy? Expos? Internet? I haven't been able to find any breeders around here that have pieds... (not that they don't exist, I just dont know how to find them).

Check on Kingsnake and Fauna for breeders in your area and see if they have any available or any that they will be producing soon.

If you don't have luck there then check to see when your next closest expo is (via the same sites above or on other herp forums). If there's none or they're too far away date wise and you don't want to wait then check online on the same venues mentioned.

I would personally purchase online as you have more variety: I'm still seeing quite a few pieds available right now (anywhere from low white to high, males and females). Just count in spending ~$50 extra for shipping if the price isn't marked shipped and check references on Fauna's BOI (Board of Inquiry) before sending money. Note that if you're in the market for a pied NOW that some sellers won't ship in cold conditions/winter months and you may have to wait.

    Good luck!

I would shop online if I were you. A lot of breeders right now are trying to clear out for their future clutches. There are a lot of deals for the holidays. I would stick with only breeders with good BOIs though, make sure you check fauna and that the people only have positive reviews. Stay away from any bad information. :)

    Thanks!
Around here is Hampton Roads, VA, USA. I don't plan to buy until possibly even next year, actually... just researching my options. :)
