Male Question - Breeding

I was at a reptile show this month and there was a corn breeder there with a male corn they said had fathered a bunch of the corn babies on their table. The only thing is, this male they had was small! He was no more than 150g tops (actually 100-120g sounds more accurate but its just a guesstimate as I only saw him briefly). When I bred my corns, my male was well over 200g before he bred (close to 250g) as that is what was recommended. Can you breed a male that small? Or is it better to let them get some size on them first?

I don't keep corns so i'm not a tremendous help here, but consider ball pythons. Many people on this forum breed their males once they hit about 500g and BPs get to 2000g-3000g easily. Again this probably wasn't too much help but if the male is ready to breed I don't think you can hurt him (as long as you don't overbreed him)

Haha, well my male ball python was just a tad over 200g when he began producing sperm plugs. :P

I'm going to try to find out who the breeder was and contact them about it because now it has me really curious. It was a beautiful male. :D I need to get another breeder male soon. I have a 550g female snow. I skipped her last season but this season I want to breed her and find myself with no male. Well I do have a male but he's only 50g.
