when to move to small rats.

When or what weight can my bp move to small rats?

10-15% body weight or same size as largest part of BP body.

A 400-500 gram snake can start to take 45 gram smalls with no problems if it's not a picky eater.

ok, my next question is my local store has pups and small rats. the pups seem small should i try to feed 2 each sitting?

How much does your BP weigh?

she is 270g

I think it's just some pet stores just don't know the right weight/sizes on their rats/mice. My snake is about the same size as yours and just ate what they called a small rat, which was maybe the size of what they called a med mouse a couple weeks ago......this is obviously way off. I'm just gonna have to eyeball it from now on at that store.

yeah that is my issue atm. place i go rat pups are 20g ish, but the small rats are huge and they dont have weaned rats.

Definitely, I'd do that every time before stuffing the snake with too large of a meal.
