    Housing Issues With BP's
So I wanted to venture in to breeding a little with my BP's. However, I must make sure the housing of the BP's are pleasing ( wife's specs ) for anyone entering the spare room. So I bought two of the 36x18x24 Exo Terra tanks at a good price and stacked them using a fish tank stand. In the bottom I have (3) pastels approx 400 grams each. On the top I have (4) 150 gram BP's which are two females and two males. I'm using a log hide on the cool side and heat side, UTH on one side, and a water bowl in the middle for both tanks. Are these suitable conditions for what I have or did I just go off the deep end :O ? Here's the list of BP's:

    0.1 Pinstripe 150g
    0.1 Bumblebee 150g <----- Top Tank
    1.0 Pastel Calico 150g
    1.0 Mojave 150g

    0.1 Pastel 400g
    0.1 Pastel 400g
    1.0 Pastel 100% Het Clown 400g

Tank pictured is stock, used for demension purposes :

They really should be kept in separate enclosures.

You should keep your bps separated. Other than breeding there is no reason that you should keep them together. If one gets sick, then they all get sick. It would be a lot cheaper to buy vet bill and for medicine for one snake than for 4. Plus, its very rare but has happened, there's a possibility of one eating another.

They should not be housed together. It has been know that the can eat each other!

I am agreeing with everyone else, you really should not house them together. If you cannot afford separate enclosures for each one then you should rethink getting so many. Good luck in your decisions.

Thanks all, and now I'm stressed to get back home from GA tomorrow and get them seperated. ERRR!! (slaps self for making this mistake) I've been researching on making a small to medium rack system. Any suggestions on where to look? I did see an expanded PVC rack a recent show, but the person wouldn't give info on how to make them :P Again thanks for the replies and help. :gj:

You could build a rack for around $200 using melamine sheets (from home depot or lowes) and plastic tubs. There are a couple tutorials on this forum and around the web. It is basically a shelving unit, pretty simple construction.
