Male Mojave off feed

I got him a couple months ago, and the guy I got him from said he was feeding weekly on Sm Rats. He was ~900g. I began feeding him a medium rat the next week, and he ate, and the week after he ate another. Then the past few (3) weeks he just stopped. I feed F/T, and I thought that might have been the issue, so last week I got a live Sm Rat, which he refused. Also last Friday I put him in with the first of my normal females, and they locked. I took him out tuesday morning. Last night I tried to feed him a F/T Sm Rat, and he looked interested, but really all he wanted to do was go exploring. He is now down to 818g. Everything else about him is normal, and he seems to be doing fine, but I am concerned to be breeding him while he is off feed. Your input is greatly appreciated.

It is likely that he is off due to breeding season. mediums might be a touch large (it varies what weight mediums are place to place) but the mediums around me are well over 100 gms. Typically I'd recommend 10% for an adult BP.

My 2010s and older are taking turns going off feed. Nobody is starving, but they're all skipping a meal here and there in honor of breeding season.
