Is it ok to feed again? 2 days

I have a new baby pastel and its been only 2 days since i last fed him. Today being wednesday and last time monday. Hes only 50 grams and 3 months old. The mice i first fed him seemed a little small. He ate that mice quick! Had it down his stomach within less than 5 minutes. The previous feeding was 7 days prior to me picking him up.

Ive read around that u should be feeding around every 5-7 days. But in this case hes still a baby. Not so sure on what his schedule should be. Thanks for reading :)

Stick with a 5-7 day schedule. Just make sure that you feed appropriately sized prey.

If it was a very small meal you could get away with feeding him again now if he seems to be searching for food. I suggest switching to a larger prey item and starting a 5 day feeding schedule, poor thing is only 50 grams at 3 months old??

Feeding every 2 days would be considered "power-feeding". power-feeding usually results in a faster growing, but less healthy snake. 50 grams at 3 months sounds small so you could probably offer him food again but i'd wait another day

make sure the prey size is about the width of the snake at it's largest and try to bring feeding to 5-7 days

Yeah I agree with everyone above. I wouldn't feed more often than 5 days. Just make sure your feeding proper sizes for your prey rodents and you'll be fine.

Also feeding every two days will lead to additional problems with health and future feeding responses. Not to mention you probably won't get a ball to eat every 2 days.

You can probably get away with it, and doing it once isn't going to be unhealthy or considered unhealthy but I'd also stick with a 4-5 day feeding schedule. Maybe 4 days for now since he is so small. Just don't feed too him large of a prey item.

Is there a general health chart for the weight and age that a ball python should be around?

Not that I know of. But my hatchlings have weighed more than that out of the egg.

Everyone has told me and many others that to choose the right size of prey item choose one that is 10-15% of the body weight of your snake.
