    Blowing bubbles....
Anybody else have their ball python blow bubbles in water? I.e. when soaking them due to a bad shed, putting new water in tank, etc.
All 3 of my balls have now blown bubbles at some point when I've put new water in their tank or soaked them. :P
They just kinda dunk their head under and blow bubbles out of their nose.

I've never seen any of mine doing that, but that doesn't mean that they don't. I just haven't caught them yet...

Since we are on the topic of soaking... Should I be soaking my little guy once in a while even if he doesn't have a bad shed? If so, how many times a week? Thanks :)

No, soaking should only be necessary. Only for bad sheds or if they are covered in poo. Soaking removes the essential oils under their skin, which can in turn cause a bad shed for the future.

One of my females used to do it every time I changed her water - she hasn't done it in a while though. It was cute. :)

Yeah, it made me giggle. Definitely reminded me of a kid with chocolate milk ;) (like myself!)
Except they plunge their WHOLE head under the water and just blow tons of bubbles out of their nose! It's really cute--well, it was once I checked all my husbandry and that came up clean, and checked their mouths and those were fine, and then I discovered it was just blowing bubbles that weren't R.I. related :P hehehe.
All three of the ball pythons have done it--nothing like it with the corn snakes.
Guess we've got some goof balls here :P
