I Don't Feel Like I Post Him Enough..
I'm so busy taking pictures of all my Ball pythons and Carpet pythons that I completely forget about my "fossil" of the collection.

Well.. He isn't necessarily a fossil, but he's a 6 year old Baja Kingsnake as calm as can be. I've had him for 5 years now and don't ever plan on selling him. His name is Steve after my idol/inspiration, Steve Irwin. Eats great and the calmest I have ever seen a Kingsnake can be.

You can see his cool metallic blue belly here.

    He is 4 feet long.

I've came to the conclusion that he is a Baja Kingsnake. Can't remember but I think he was sold to me as a Mexican Black. Although his markings and deep brown coloration don't yell MB to me, they look very similar to a Baja. NOW, the question is... What to pair, what to pair....

    Thanks for looking :D!!

Very nice, he is a handsome boy! I hadn't seen one of those before (not that I would have, I'm new to milks and kings) I love my corns but the kings and milks I have been seeing are so beautiful I am amazed. I had only heard before how nippy kings can be. I'm so glad that I've learned better now.

Re: I Don't Feel Like I Post Him Enough..
Apologies for reviving an older thread, but I thought this might be a good place for the question I've been meaning to ask:

I'm looking at buying a Mexican black kingsnake from Outback Reptiles and having it shipped to me in the near future, but how can I be sure that what I'm buying is indeed a MBK and not a Baja or hybrid, etc? I've never owned one before and I certainly wouldn't want to get stuck with a different species than what I asked for. If I purchase a jet black individual is it a safe bet that it's a real MBK?

Outback Reptiles has far more good reviews than bad, but I'm also aware that they sell thousands of animals in a year... Josh from their customer service might not have a detailed history on the animal, so I want to be prepared.

Can you not edit posts here? :C Scratch my last post entirely. I chose not to go with Outback Reptiles and I have no hesitations about the breeder I did choose.
