    Hello From NorCal. :)
    Hello everyone!

I have been an avid lurker for quite some time and finally decided to take the plunge and register/introduce myself.

I am relatively new to keeping BP's as a hobby. I started my addiction in herp keeping with my first leopard gecko (who is now 17? 18? Lost count!) I have kept a wide variety of exotics but didn't get started in BP's until working for a reptile veterinarian. I took in a few badly burned/malnourished specimens and nursed them back to health. After a bad experience from a reptile show I stopped keeping snakes altogether and slimmed down my collection to just my ancient leo girl.

At the beginning of this year a friend of mine gave me the BP bug again. :) I am now working on establishing a high quality collection and am excited to get a clutch on the ground (wont happen for a few years, sadly!). I went to the only reptile show in my area and met Heather Wong (Hi, it was awesome meeting you!) and picked up some pretties from her as well as an interesting looking normal from another breeder.

My collection thus far consists of:
    1.1 Pastel
    1.0 Mojave
    1.0 Fire
    0.1 Spider
0.1 Normal (dark, reduced pattern, almost banded/tiger-like)
    0.1 Lesser
0.1 Het Caramel (maybe het hypo? Excited to prove her out!)

As you can see, I am starting with base morphs as a lot of my interest lies in making my own combos. I have a BP wishlist started, though! I have decided to take on Caramels despite their kinking issues. I have been doing a lot of research regarding incubation temps, fertility issues, and hetxhet clutches. Very excited to pick out my het's partner but I have lots of time to be choosey and decide. I would be overjoyed to make a Caramel Glow! 8)

I have had a lot of fun crafting things for this hobby, lol! I make my own hides, I built my own rack, and constantly look for items to keep my feeder mice entertained. I am always stopping by discount stores to see what kind of things I can craft into snake/feeder mouse items! :)

Thanks for reading! I hope I can contribute and learn with everyone here!

Howdy! Where in Norcal? I grew up in Sonora, currently in the EastBay and might be moving to South Sac/Lodi area for a new job soon. Enjoy! This forum is great, and Heather is an awesome person to know.. she's a huge help, always!

Thanks for the warm welcomes! :)

I currently live about 45 mins from Sacramento in a rural ranching area. It's nice; I can be in a quiet, farming neighborhood without being too far removed from town! Only downside is that it gives me just one LFS where I can pick up live/frozen feeders for the snakes but, thankfully, that LFS is pretty awesome and can order me whatever I need so no shipping costs (woohoo!).
