I screwed up.....
After Noah got his last surgery - I was instructed by the vet to give him a daily injection of antibiotics for 10 days - well, today was the last shot he had to get and when I attempted to give it to him he squirmed and the needle popped out and squirted the medicine all over the place - thus he didn't really benefit from that last shot.
Do you all think that since this was the last shot needed that he will be fine without it - I think I remember the vet saying they give more shots than really needed in case one is wasted.
I sure hope this is true. He looks great and is acting fine also.
Your thoughts.

Call the vet and ask.
Nothing safer than that.

I would call the vet and ask them. Since they prescribed it and did the surgery they know much better than us what he should/needs to have.

it is also quite likely a single dose isn't very costly and you could just buy that one needle and give it to him a little late.

Re: I screwed up.....
I've got a call into the vet to check into this - the problem is that the vet is a 2 hour drive away. Hopefully he says it doesn't matter if he only got 1/4 of the last dose.

Re: I screwed up.....
Good News!!!! I just talked to the vet and he said that it wouldn't hurt anything that the last shot wasn't fully administered. Thank god for that.
Didn't want to have to drive 2 hours just to pick up a single dose of antibiotics but I certainly would have had he said it was necessary.
Thanks everyone,.

I'm glad he's going to be okay and you don't need to drive 2 hours. :)

Good to hear. That 2 hour drive would have sucked but would have been worth it for the snakes health. I'm glad everything is fine!

I'm sure "Noah" is glad that the shots are over with - that poor little guy has been thru sooo much this past year.
I just pray that this problem does not return for him. Keeping fingers crossed.
