    Getting Snakes Shipped To Canada?
Looking for some input from some of the Canadian breeders on here..

Instead of calling up every single big American breeder out there, I wanted to ask you guys first. Do most companys like BHB, Jkobylka, RoyalConstrictorDesigns, Ralph Davis, etc.. ship to Canada? I understand it would probably be much more expensive in terms of taxes and shipping, but looking at Canadian pricing on certain morphs, I find it might be reasonable to try and pick one up from an American breeder and get it shipped over.

The morphs that I've seen in big breeders in the USA also always seem of much better quality too (not to stomp on any canadian breeders, of course Ive seen some absolutely stunning stuff from canada too, but the industry is just nowhere near as developed as it is in the states) And the prices are generally much lower than here in Canada. Anyone got some 2 cents for me ?

I've looked into this myself, and to get CITES paperwork and shipping I was quoted for about 500 dollars. Breeders will usually only do international shipping with orders over x amount (usually $1000+). It is way better to just pay the $100 shipping fee via the airport and get it in Canada. If you like US stock, you can try going to the Canadian Reptile Breeders Expo next year, as some American breeders come. If you decide to buy from a Canadian breeder, I have a looong list of them if you want to pm me. ;)

This is a great response. I know some great breeder sources in the GTA if your interested. Save yourself shipping costs all together. Markus Jayne being one of the biggest. Chris from Omega Pythons is a friend of mine so I can hook you up. He's in Scarborough so he's a lot closer than Markus but all of his animals are top quality. PM me if your interested. There are some reptile stores that carry some high quality animals too. I can name a few off the top of my head but I won't because I'm not sure of the forum rules.

Markus Jayne has really top quality animals! BHB comes up to the Breeders Expo every Sept.! Henry Piorun in BC has some nice stuff! Legend Boas, Canadian Regius, and Ball Python Addiction all are good breeders. It's not worth it to ship from the States unless you are getting a lot of really expensive animals because you will spend at least $500 which can be spent here for a better snake! I also just hatched some Spiders!
