First Lock of the Season/Ever! Im Tickled!

Traded my buddy last night my hatchling mojave male for two real nice proven normal females. I got one reduced pattern girl at around 1100g(she has already locked with a lesser for previous owner recently) and one 2100g light/high white female. I didnt have spare tubs ready last night so i threw the reduced pattern to my 800g Pastel and the light/high white girl with my spider. I thought the high white and spider locked last night but it was a false alarm...but today,i caught this

Guess she puts out on the first date! If all goes perfect she will produced me a dual sired clutch...unlikely,i know. And shes small,especially for her already being proven. I was shocked when he told me he bred her before 1200g. I know soneone will mention i didnt quarentine,and although i should have...i didnt because i knew where they were comin from.

Congratz but 1,100 grams seems too early to me; Even 1,200 is a bit early.

Thanks! Thats what i thought too! But, shes willing and able apparently. Ill have to keep a closer eye on her while laying,and itll be a small clutch but thats not an issue this year. Imma first year so just testin waters right now.

if she feels shes ready she will go just like in the wild im sure there are much smaller females in the wild that produce just fine with no health issues since food is much much more scarce. If shes at least 3 years old and 12000 grams she will more than likely be fine

But what your saying though is you didnt QT :colbert: Even is its a friends snakes sickness can still show up. RIs can develop just from stress of moving the snake to a different environment.
In the future if I were you I would QT ANY new snake for at least a month. Remember a QT only helps YOU and YOUR snakes.

Hopefully she eats for you, I would have quarantined the girls for a month or so to be sure no RI issues are present, and got them eating well before breeding them, but that's just me.

Hope all goes well with your pairings, but seriously quarantine isn't something to casually dismiss as unnecessary. It's incredibly important and needs to be strictly adhered to whenever you bring new or visiting snakes into your home.
