If you make it yourself yes. Everything on the market that is around $100 is crap IMO. But that's just my $0.02

anything your going to find for $100 would be your hovabator and reptibator, while i would incubate leos or one clutch of colubrids with these, I would not use it for a clutch of BPs.
I second the building your own. You can even make one out of a cooler. Check out our DIY section!

Ditto, there really aren't. But you can do a really nice 1 or 2 or even 3-clutch cooler incubator for $150. Spend $100 on a nice "proportional" thermostat from Herpstat or VE or Helix, and the check out the DIY forums for some examples.

It's what I did for my lavender albino clutch this year, and I'm really pleased with the results.

No. If your breeding 100 dollar snakes then buy a 100 dollar incubator otherwise spend the money to either build a good one or if ya want to buy a good one then your gonna have to fork out more then 100 bucks

There are also some pretty good DIY vids Youtube. I plan on making my own also. Right now I have a crappy hovabator which I will be using my Herpstat with. If I think I am going to have more than one or two clutches this year, I will go ahead and build it this season. I understand exactly what your going through.

There are a bunch of DIY videos out there. I built one this season out of an old full size freezer and it worked great. You could probably pick up an old freezer cheap, some people just give them away if you pick them up. It only took me about 45 minutes to put together. Took longer to clean the freezer than anything else. Due to the size I used 11 inch flexwatt and a couple computer fans. Of course I used a quality thermostat but also used 2 thermometers to monitor it all. The temps were always spot on 89 degrees. I think it ran me $150 or so. You just gotta figure out your budget, and space as well as size you'll need. Mine for example can fit 13 big clutches or 20 small ones. Good Luck and have fun.
