My enchi is just crazy. He's locked 4 times so far, 3 times with one girl and once with another in the past 5 weeks. Each time has been for 12+ hours each. I knew snakes could lock for a while, but I didn't realize they would consistently lock for very long periods. :D

I'm really hoping my girls give me eggs and I don't mess things up and they reabsorb (I think they've started building, but I new at this). :)

I'm really hoping for some nice baby enchis. :D

Anyways, here is an older picture of him shortly after shed.

    Thats awesome..
How many girls do males usually pair with in one breeding season? Is it possible for one male to pair with three different females and produce three clutches? Or would that be considered rare

Males can/will breed as many girls as you let them. Most do an average of 2-5 females so they can pair the male with the female more than once and not over sex the male. Male will breed themselves to death.

The bigger the male the more girls he can usually pair with. This doesnt apply for males that are too large. When a male gets over say 3000grams they tend to get very lazy with breeding and will nor lock for as long and as many times. This is just my personal observations. Last year i had a male lock with 5 girls and father 4 clutches. one of the girls ended having babies from a younger male :)
