Can somebody please explain to me how the red axanthic gene works? I just recently won a dinker from a het red x het red pairing and I don't understand the gene very well...it would be great if somebody could enlighten me. thanks!

Het Red Axanthics are considered a co-dom morph. There is a Red Axanthic which is the super form, but I've never seen one other than doing a good search. Het Reds are becoming popular to use in combos, such as the cinny X het red combo which is called Gargoyle.

You can usually tell when you are looking at a het red. They have lots of blushing on their backs. Someone who works with them more should be able to tell you more about how to ID them. :)
