What is the shortest QT period you've done....
I am nearing the 30 day period and was just wondering if any of you consider 30 days sufficient or if not, what does the majority do.

    Thanks.

I'd QT as long as possible. Unless there is some pressing reason you need to cut QT short why risk it? There are things that may not show up after only 30 days.

Generally, I do 60-90 days. If I know the breeder really well, and have personally seen their collection multiple times, I'll do about 30 sometimes less. If the snake is being shipped from out of state, I do the whole 90.

I was just getting impatient to get my whole collection set up in my snakeroom vs. having two snakes in the basement. I will continue with the QT period so as not to cause any issues with my collection - patience is not something I am good at!!!

They are both doing great and eating every week. So far no issues.

It really depends on who I buy them from. I've had a few that I only did a 30 qt, but I have had a few that I kept separated for over 120. I just wasn't comfortable with the animals behavior. I always prefer to be over cautious than hurt my collection.

8 snakes. Never quarantined. Silly me.

Though I dont use racks. All set-up in seperate tanks throughout the house.

I feel confident that the breeder I got them from is very reputable but I just want to do everything as close to "by the book" as I can.

I see that the answer is varied - just depends on the person I guess.

Two months. Coincidentally, it also the longest I've had to quarantine.
