My BP eating for the first time!

After lots of worry and my new BP getting skinny, she finally took a F/T pinkie for the first time a few minutes ago! I snapped two photos on my phone right quick that I want to share. It was one of the most amazing things ever to watch! I'm a first time snake owner. :)

Congrats on getting her to eat. It looks like a pretty small food item though. Just my opinion.

Ya, I just learned that here in another thread of mine. :) I just bought pinkie mice because that's what PetsMart told me. :/ But I wanted to go ahead and try feeding her the last 2 pinkies before I bought bigger ones for next time. She refused the first 4 over the past month and a half and I had to throw them out.

That is understandable. It wasn't a shot in anyway. Just letting you know. Even my newest additions eat a hopper to start with. I always shoot for around 15% of the snakes weight for prey weight.

Very nice! I don't know why pet stores think bps eat pinkies :rolleyes: Trust me, they all think that and you were smart to join a forum like this that can help you out!

Yep! :D I thought I'd dread feeding days cause I'm squeamish, but I just can't wait for the next one! :P
