    New Addition
a couple of weeks ago my I rescued a beardie- he came from a home where he wasn't getting the care he needed, and the owner's sister convinced him that the beardie should go someplace where he would be taken care of. I met his sister at a reptile store and she told me a little bit about his condition.. I agreed to take him because I don't like hearing about any animal being hurt, and this one i could at least help.

So we got the guy (named Godzilla) about a week or so later and he was a little worse off then she had said... he had RI, a lot of stuck shed, and apparently no heat bulb for several months and no UVB for at least one, if not more months.

So now that we've had him for a couple of weeks... he is looking a lot better- we gave him a couple of baths- he was pretty grungy. He gets a fresh salad and crickets every day.. and we are treating him for the RI

He may not be the best mannered beardie we have (gets all defensive and tries to bite every time I go take him out of the tank) but hes really beautiful, and I'm really glad that we took him in :D

We changed his name to Pachie.. (I think its a bit nicer then Godzilla...) and I'm hoping that he calms down as he gets more used to me. I had him out today and he actually relaxed in my lap and just hung out... until he saw my female and started head bobbin (such a boy... :p)

so without further ado- here he is -

and lastly a pic of his poor toe- I was getting some shed off him the other day- mostly off his chin, but there was some on his feet also.... and when i was working on one toe.. it came completely off... looks like there had been doo much shed there and it cut off the circulation in that toe. He didn't get (too) upset when i got it off and it doesn't seem to be bothering him too much...

thanks guys :) he will definitely need some work in the manners department but I really don't think its too hard.. he wasn't always afraid of being handled.
