    so in hard stressful times.....i bring home snakes lol so i got this guy actually im not even sure if its a male i care none the less what he is

    are boas typically mean? i used to have a female columbian red tail that i had to get rid of becuz she bit my face and my father at the time didnt want her around with a 2 month old baby now this guy tried biting me 4 times with in 5 seconds lol the only thing known about him/her is the owner fed him 5 mice once a week till thursday he got a large rat and oh did he love that lol k so anyways i need help figuring out what EXACTLY he is becuz almost all of the boas look the same to me and need help with a name suggestion he is being called he becuz thats what they were calling him lol

    Nice looking boa!!! I currently own 3 boa's and they have been perfectly behaved so far. I handle them almost every day. They are just so much fun. I wish you luck with him....:gj:

    BCI is what it is. Let him acclimate for a few days and then handle him. He should calm down. Then again my Nicaraguan Boa hasn't and will bite me any chance it gets.

    Loving that tail pattern! It's most likely just a normal BCI. I got my girl when she was around that size, from a local rescue. She's been just lovely (except when it comes to food), no snapping or anything. Let him settle in for a week while you pick out a name, and then just do quick handling sessions until you trust/understand his behavior type and patterns. :)

    Ps. it'd probably be a good idea to get him sexed properly, just so you know what to expect size-wise. :gj:

    his name is...hitman lol for now till i come up with something better if you open his tub he will only go straight for womens faces never men....so yeah lol hes gotten pretty darn close to my nose

    I have 3 boas and all are very feisty/bitey but I only handle them for cleaning so that is to be expected.
