Decided to treat myself...

With my birthday coming up on Monday, and getting halfway through filling out report cards today, I decided to make the trip to Ken the Bug Guy. After nearly 3 hours of traffic, I got my first! A ~1.5" Brachypelma smithi! My friend that I went with got a KILLER deal on a P. metallica to add to his P. regalis. I even handled her/him (not that I wanted to...the smithi that is)
Ken is such a nice guy--he was glad to talk to us even though we got there an hour before closing, and took out nearly 15 different spiders and T's for my friend to look at. Super knowledgeable and friendly!
After I finish report cards tomorrow I'm going to come home and set up her/his enclosure. Sorry for the crappy pics, but it's been a long day of work and driving so you'll have to make due until tomorrow! Thanks for looking!

Edit: Even though I've been looking and researching for a couple of months, I made this purchase without the consent of my partner...here's to hoping she keeps me!

Thank you! Yes it's definitely worth the trip. It's not that big, but he showed us anything we wanted so it's still cool to see the diversity! I think he said he has around 10,000 T's!
