    Just a quick question...
I started pairing my het albino girl on 9/16/11, she was definately building, I saw no locks, I seen no ovulation, she stopped eating on 10/7 but was pounding them before that, and now she has been on the hotspot for over a week in a perfect coil on her side, and is in deep blue. Any chance she could have built that fast, ovulated, and this is her pre lay shed? Just wondering why shes on the hot side. Maybe shes just a wierdo. I'll post a pic when my phone decides to start cooperating. thanks

Pics would definitely help. Could be a pre-ov shed or how long since last feeding, and how large was the prey item compared to the size of your female? These are all questions that would need to be asked before we can answer your question. Again pics would be very helpful. Ovulation can last from a few hours to a couple of days.

I dont see how this applies. Shes not ovulating. I know quite abit about the basic aspects of breeding. I'm just asking if its possible to go from first introduction to pre lay shed in 2 months. I know it can take many months but can it happen this fast. Just wanted to see if any breeders had any comments. Thanks though

You will not have a pre-lay shed without ovulation first. Might be a pre-ovulation shed.

I think it is possible but not likely this early in the season. I was just trying to be helpful. I'm not a big time breeder, just a hobbiest trying to share what knowledge I have gained by reading, asking questions of my own, and personal observations with my own animals.

Ovulations can be missed but how people miss the glow is beyond me?

No 2 months is not long enough and if you didn't see her glow then you're possibly seeing a preovulation shed, or more than likely just pre-pre-ovulation shed, lol.
Building takes a couple of months, during this time you will see bowl wrapping and the female sticking to the cold side a lot.
Then the female once her follicles are growing will go into shed and then after shed start to glow like crazy.
This is almost unmissable, one day you open up your tub and realize she looks nothing like her former self.

lol "pre-pre ovulation shed", more than likely. Ok this helps. At this point I know they are just building. All of my breeding females are on the cool side and swelling and lumping up and perfect coils laying on their sides almost. I have not seen any glowing yet. Your pictures are crazy, that yellow belly almost looks like a normal and the yellow belly glowing almost looks like shes ovulating and like a fire. All of them have been building for a month or so now and on the cool side and all the ones breeding are in blue right now but no glow. I just thought it was weird that this one particular female was directly on the hotspot and in blue. I was thinking this was too quick and they were still building but she was throwing me off. I'll be looking for the glow, thanks for the help. lol Hope this response makes sense I just got home from going out :). I'll put up some pics soon.
