Incubator in cooler room?
I just got a new incubator made from a 150qt cooler. The incubator is pretty big and my snake room is on the smaller side, making it a very tight fit and would take a major rearranging of my racks.
My snake room is heated but I was wondering if the incubator could be in an unheated room, since the incubator itself is heated and insulated...or does it need to stay in the heated snake room?
Re: Incubator in cooler room?
Not really, as long as the unheated room is not to cold. The colder the room, the harder heating device has to work. Keep some bottles of water in there and use a good thermostat! And try not to open it up to much.
What are you heating the incubator with and what thermostat are you using?
What is the temp. of the room?

Temp of the room will probably fluctuate in the low-mid 60s...I will be having a late breeding season this year so maybe a bit warmer if outside weather cooperates. Incubator heated with 11" flexwatt and a Herpstat Tstat.
