    thermometer-hygrometer inquiry
anyone use this model from ambientweather.com?

i know alot of people here like the accu-rite & i'm just researching stuff for future set ups.

would this unit be able to be put through the salt test to determine its % accuracy like the accu-rite?

& can someone translate the specs info for me? i understand the temp & humidity ranges & i dont have a problem reading but theres some kind of funky lookin' symbol there that i have no idea what that is supposed to mean...

You should be able to check most any hygrometers accuracy by using the salt test method. The symbol I think you are referring to is this one ±. It is just two symbols stuck together, and is another way of saying "plus or minus". Sometimes it will be shown as "+ or -" or, more comonly "+/-".

oh ok yeah...i've just never really seen that symbol before so it kinda stumped me, lol. i'm not the brightest nut in the shell sorry.
i know it very well as "+/-".
isnt it supposed to read 75% after 24 hrs of the salt test? wheres that sticky so i can go back & re-read it, lol?
like my accu-rite is 9% off (did the 24 hr salt test on it) so whenever i'm noting the humidity i have to count back 9% to get the accurate reading.
