is there anything going on here?
Here is Lopi. My local Humane Society found her in an abandoned house. They contacted me and I took her in. She still has some fattening up to do even though she is almost up to 3000 grams in these pics.

So I SWORE i'd never post a normal bp and ask but I figured it couldnt hurt to see what you all thought. Its her tummy that makes me wonder. So....anything going on here?

She looks in good condition for having a rough go. I love that belly but I can't tell that there is anything to it. Good luck with her:)

thanks! the house was left empty, except for Lopi, for several months. i couldnt even guess how long she went without food or water. she had some stuck shed and eyecaps, she was hungry and really thirsty but she bounced back really fast.

She looks good! I'd say normal, but I agree, her belly is really cool :) I haven't seen any morphs with bellies like that though.

That's how "morphs" get started... you find one with what looks like it might be a mutation and you attempt to reproduce it, if it reproduces, you've got a "morph".

I find it odd that people check their Catalog of Official Known Morphs and say, "that's just an odd-looking normal". :)

Where do we think the "accepted" morphs come from? Some breeder that recognizes that this odd-looking normal could be a mutation and plays around with breeding it to see what happens.

(Whether the buying public thinks it's a mutation worth paying money for is a different story, of course.)

Completely normal, but if she's already that big and you put some weight on her, she'll make a great normal breeder eventually. Big clutches. Healthy, huge females are impressive whether they carry mutated genes or not.

She looks like she could be a great breeder!
A good possible dinker if you can do anything with that.

Her belly is definitely cool! She would make an awesome dinker project :gj:

2nd the dinker notion, with that belly and her pattern would be cool to try and see if there's something there.
