How often do you breed your females?
The only female I have this season that's big enough to breed is my older pastel (my profile pic). It hasn't even been a year since she last had a clutch though. After she laid 7 good eggs earlier this year, she went right back on feed. Last year, I started pairing her up at 1400g. She's now 1800g but I'm not sure if it's too soon to breed her again. Do you more experienced breeders pair up your females every year if there weight is good?

Yes, if I have a project in mind for them they get bred.

I'd say she's ready to go again, but it is up to you if you want to breed her again. I have a female who laid in April. She's up to a good weight and is tossing back rats like candy. I threw a male in with her and they courted for 5 days and eventually locked. So I'd say she's ready.
All you can do is throw in a male and see if she takes. If she's ready to go again, she will. :D

Well that's exciting news! I was hoping I could have a project this season. She'll be going back in with my male bee. Last time, they gave me 4 bees and 3 normals. Crossing my fingers for killer bees or super pastels this time!
Thanks for the feedback!
