    Can dogs give BP mites?
    So I never let my dog into my room. Its not that I don't want to but I'm very cautious.

    No they can't. Snake mites are species specific. So all mammals are safe and unaffected by snake mites.

    You can let your dog into your room he/she will be fine, and so will the snake/snakes.

    Wow. I'm just rereading this. I totally read the question wrong. I must have been more tired than I thought when I posted. Sorry ! Haha ^^;;

    And again, no. Dogs can't give your snake mites or vice versa.

    yes they can..

    Mites can be carried from many sources. Snake mites cannot feed on other animals. Cats, dogs, and people will not be affected by mites but they can absolutely carry them. Now is it very likely that your dog will give your snakes mites.. No. But if you have snakes with mites in one room, and snakes without mites in another and a dog traveling back and forth between the two room than it is possible that you can spread the mites. Again it's not very likely as I am assuming your snakes and other pets don't interact closely with each other but it's not impossible. We have snakes in quarantine in one room and other snakes in the living room. The cats are not allowed in the snake room at all.
