    Cinny Pastel and Pewter?
Hoping someone could help unscramble this for us.

We are receiving a female spider ball python next week and were looking at different combos to pair her with.

We wanted to know what the difference is between a pastel cinnamon and a pewter. Isn't a pewter a pastel x a cinnamon? How isn't a pastel cinny a pewter then?

If we purchased a cinnamon pastel and bred him to our spider, would the outcome possibly produce pewter bees for us? OR would we need a Pewter x spider to make pewter bees?

    Thanks in advance :)

A Cinnamon Pastel and a Pewter is the same thing! Breed to a Spider you can make Spiders, Pastels, Cinnamons, Bees, Pewters, Spider Cinnamon and Cinnabees!

A pewter is a pastel cinny :gj: Some just like to list the specific morphs in an animal. It can make it a lot less confusing to people just getting into the hobby.

If I remember correctly the Cinny used to be called the Cinnamon Pastel, so you need to be careful here. Someone might be using the old name to confuse people, so make sure you see the snake you are actually buying and can identify a pewter.

Ok first when people say cinnamon pastel they mean cinnamon. If they mean pewter they say pewter. Kinda like lesser platinum is just a lesser..... Cinnamon pastel to spider only produces cinnamon spiders. You would need a pewter to a spider to make pewterbees.

this is a good point, try to find out what the parents are to be sure that its at least possible that its a cinnamonXpastel (pewter)instead of just a "cinnamon pastel"

Thanks everyone (think Im a bit more confused now!)

Would this be considered a cinny that could produce pewterbees?

Unless you put a pastel x cinny to produce pewters. All you would get out of a cinny x spider would be cinnabees, cinnys, spiders, normals.

You're getting confused by the term cinnamon pastel. That's what they were origanally called. But then people dropped the pastel ending. That male is just a cinny. It's kind of like people used to call pastels "jungle pastels".
